Description: Waialea Bay has a great beach in two sections, one with some beach break and the other a kind of lagoon. It had been my favorite camping spot on the Big Island before they decided to change going to the beach for camping and a cookout with the family from a Hawaiian tradition to a crime. The bumpy road down to the beach definitely adds to the charm and is still a great place to go for a day hop.
